Registration details
Registration for SSR 2017 will open soon. At least one author of every accepted paper must register in order for their paper to be included in the proceedings.
Items included in registration
The registration fee includes the following:
- conference entry, including lunches and refreshments on 18th and 19th December 2017;
- the Gala Dinner on 18th December 2017.
The conference Gala Dinner will take place in the Crosslands Suite, in the Royal Holloway Founder's Building. The Crosslands Suite, marked 1 on the campus plan, is named after the architect of Founder's, William Henry Crossland.
Optional items
Delegates may choose to stay in accommodation on the college campus in Tuke Hall (marked 9 on the campus plan); this comfortable but reasonably priced hotel style accommodation includes breakfast, and all rooms are 'en suite'. Tuke Hall is located within five minutes' walk of the conference lecture hall. Accommodation is available for two nights, for guests checking in on December 17th and checking out December 19th. The accommodation package includes a self-service buffet dinner between 19:30 and 20:30 in the Senior Common Room (SCR) in Founder's Building (marked 1 on the campus plan) for early arrivals on Sunday 17th December.
Additional tickets may be purchased for the conference Gala Dinner on the evening of Monday December 18th.
Costs and how to register
The registration fee for the conference is £250. Two nights bed and breakfast accommodation on-site is an additional £170. Extra Gala Dinner tickets (for partners or guests of conference delegates) are available at £60 each.
All rooms in the on-site accommodation rooms are double rooms. However, the standard price (of £170) only covers single occupancy. If you wish to bring your partner, then a supplement of £40 applies for double occupancy (which includes a second breakfast on both days).
Registration must be completed via the Royal Holloway Online Store. Two main options will be available:
- non-residential registration (£250), and
- residential registration (£420).
A third purchasable item at the online store, which should only be selected in conjunction with one of the above two options, enables the purchase of additional Gala Dinner tickets (£60 each).
A fourth purchasable item at the online store, which should only be selected in conjunction with the second option, enables an upgrade from single to double occupancy for £40.
